1. Who we are

RentNotice is a trading name of Perimeter Software Limited (Company No. 17194761), registered in England & Wales. We operate the website rentnotice.co.uk. Our contact email is hello@rentnotice.co.uk.

2. Data we collect

Account data: email address, name (if provided)
Notice data: property address, tenant names, rent amounts, notice dates, landlord name and address
Payment data: processed by Stripe — we store only a Stripe payment reference ID, never card details
Technical data: IP address, browser type, session data (for security)

3. How we use your data

To generate your Form 4A notice and deliver the PDF
To send transactional emails (sign-in links, download links, payment confirmations)
To send annual rent review reminders (subscribers only, opt-out available)
To maintain your account and notice history

4. Data retention

We retain notice data for 7 years from the date of generation, in accordance with HMRC record-keeping requirements for landlords. Account data is deleted on request. You can request deletion via hello@rentnotice.co.uk.

5. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie (for your login state and CSRF protection). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccuracies, erase your data, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@rentnotice.co.uk.

Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy at stripe.com)
Resend — transactional email delivery
We do not sell your data to any third party.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Generated PDFs are stored securely and served only via signed, time-limited URLs. We do not store card details. Sign-in tokens are hashed before storage.
